Big-Girl Bed Report...

Katie spent the night in hr big-girl bed, waking me only once. And that was when daddy left for work at 5:30.
I tucked her back in, turned out the light and stayed with her for about 10 minutes. She went back to sleep quietly.

We'll see how nap time goes.

Hurrah for big girl beds.

Amy loves hers and never seemed to miss the cot, so hopefully that will work for you too. Of course, keeping her in bed is trickier now. She's developed a tendency to wait until she thinks we've gone back downstairs and then come out of her room and sit on the floor of ours reading books to herself from the kids book collection in our room. I have a hard time disapproving since it's books plus she's quiet and not bothering me which is one of the aims of putting her to bed anyway!

If you look around, you can probably find one that is suited for her for a few bucks. The key feature to look for complete inability to make anything resembling a REAL call, but something resembling a call enough for a toddler.

You can probably find this at any decently equipped toy store, and probably at a few drug stores. A dead, real, phone might also suffice but wouldn't be ideal since there may be some dangerous components too easily accessible to a toddler

Somewhere around here we still have one that Derrick played with when he was younger. But shipping it to Illinois would probably cost more than finding one there.
