I can't say I'm unhappy to see "50" go. It has been quite a year.
Roper blew out his knee and has had to deal with pain, 2 surgeries and infection. Big men make bad patients but, all in all, he has been a trooper.
I was diagnosed with cancer. I had surgery. It was not fun. But, it wasn't nearly as bad as it could have been. And my cancer is among the most curable and the prognosis is good.
AND we got Katie. Despite a tendency to pull my hair and bite me, she is beautiful, bright and generally well behaved.
I have wonderful friends, a warm, sturdy house, and a big fuzzy cat.
Life is pretty good.
Bring on "51" !
