Back from Cap

Well, I have Chaired a convention.
I will write a report in a day or tow.
Right now, I'm pooped.
Roper has charge of Katie and for just a couple of minutes, I'm not in charge of anything or anyone.

People seem to have enjoyed the convention.
We need to balance the books and see where we stand.
That will come in a few days.

Right now I'm going to google on a couple of off-the-shelf braces for Roper's knee, then go to bed.

It was a fun con - thank you for all your hard work! (Oh, and could you pass my thanks to Tim? He came to check on whether I needed anything before my dance class started. I'd already gotten the hotel people to move the tables I needed moved, so I didn't...but it was really nice of Tim to check on me!)

I didn't get to go, but you still get my kudos.

New Momma. AND Con Chair.

I stand in awe.

It was a good time.

I was concerned by the badge numbers I was seeing; the highest Saturday one-day badge number I saw was only about 950. Is my memory off, or was attendance down a lot?

We were right on par with 2003-2005. Last year was up a couple of hundred, at about 1100.
I think it was the weather. And I didn't do the publicity blitz that Greg did last year.

Thank you very much for the lovely Con! I hope you feel more energetic soon.

It was a most excellent con, with the notable exception of the Flaming Bagel (I think they should name the Con Suite that next year...). I hope that both the book-balancing and the quest for a knee brace for Roper go well!

The first three lines of this post looked like the beginnings of a poem. Then I realized that "pooped" didn't rhyme with either "convention" or "tow."

SHAZAM! You've just been Valentined by an officially deputized Valentine Faerie. :-)

And here's some Homemade Virtual Valentine's chocolate for you:
