Does anybody else remember...

A old (60's?) radio sketch called Acme Liquor Store?
It was a phone conversation between a liquor store clerk and a very inebriated fellow trying to place an order.

One of the lines, "Don't send any Vermouth, it makes my wife sick." has made it's way into my personal lexicon and nobody I have mentioned it to recognizes it.

No, I don't remember it.

(Foster Brooks, perhaps?)

I will ask kip_w, who is a wizard with questions like this.

I remember
The group was "Hudson & Landry". I remember the last line being about needing courage to go to confession.

When I have a lyric I'm trying to place, I google the lyric enclosed in quotation marks, with lyrics outside the quotation marks.

Actually I remember this - my parents had a recording of it.
