I am going to vote now.

I'm about to head over to Terrace School and commit democracy.
I expect I will vote for some Republicans and some Democrats and some Independents if I can find any.
I'm going to Vote for the Green Party Candidate for Governor. http://www.whitneyforgov.org/joomla/index.php
Not that I think he has a hope in hell of getting elected, but because I cannot, in any conscience, vote for either of the candidates put up by the major parties. And compared to them he sounds sincere.

The thing I find really sad about voting is that Roper usually votes in the morning on his way to work. I usually vote later in the afternoon. And the election judges always comment on remembering my husband who was in earlier.
This is sad, not because someone finds Roper memorable, but because it shows how not busy they were.
Dammit! they should be mobbed.

I'm voting against the TIF even though I believe it to be a done deal.

If you don't vote, you don't get to complain.

I used to save the little paper tag
that they gave us when we voted, and wave it around as, "I've got the receipt, I'd like to exchange my government for a better one". But they don't give you one anymore.

What's a TIF?

"If you don't vote, you don't get to complain."

We use that line a lot in our family, too.
