Counting Down the Days

Next week should be my last week at work.
True to form, I still don't know what my last day is.
If the week is "normal" it should be Thursday.
If somebody has requested extra time off for the holiday weekend I might be Friday or even Saturday.

I spent a good chunk of the afternoon starting to clean out my desk. It's amazing how much Stuff you can accumulate in 16 years. There is a bunch of stuff that I'm not sure what to do with.
I have to keep telling myself, " 'It could come in handy some day' are the most dangerous words in the language."

oGhod, YES!
That's why we've got a storage unit the size of a single-car garage that is still damnear full even 3 years after we downsized into an apartment!

Call up Mr. Rostrom and ask him about Rostrom's Rules of Moving. Every other one is 'throw it away'. Man should have been a fakir.

Wow - I can't imagine having the same desk for sixteen years, not even at home! :-)

Remember: If you haven't needed it in the last six months, you probably won't in the next six months, either. :-)

"When in doubt, throw it out".

Yeah, I can't do it either.

And the rider is 'but it probably won't'. The *extended* rider is 'but I probably won't remember I have one until I've already bought myself a replacement, or even if I do remember it will take me 2 days to find it and thus buying a replacement would have been cheaper'.
