Whether it's a Blessed Easter, preparing for Passover or just plain Happy Spring!
Wishing you all a wonderful day!
Debbie, Amy and Drummer left about 1:30. Katie went down for a nap and the cooking and cleaning started in earnest.
There wasn't a whole lot of dirt as the cleaning lady was here this week, but there toys all over the house and kitchen stuff all over the counters.
My brother had called yesterday after seeing the saga of the lamb cake in LJ. He asked if I minded if Kathy (my s-i-l's sister) made a lamb cake.
Mind?? I was overjoyed. I wouldn't have minded making the cake, but having one less thing to do was a good thing.
Roper ran to the store for a last couple of items and I started cooking.
When the family showed up they took over. I didn't think you could fit that many people in my kitchen.
All I had to do was tell folks where to find things.
It was a lovely dinner. We had ham, hard boiled eggs, sausage, pierogi (4 kinds) bread, a green salad, green bean casserole, and Hawaiian salad. And Kathy's lamb cake and ice cream for dessert. Yum!
Katie had such a good time she needed a bath before bed. Ya just can't put a kid to bed with ice cream in her hair and cake on her legs.
All in all, a fine day.
Hope yours was good, too.
