The State Of The Gretchen...

We went to Worldcon.
The hecticity described  in my last entry went far better than I was afraid.
The girls loved ChiKids, the kids programming space, although Julie didn't get up there as often as she wanted.
Katie had a pass to come and go. She had a great deal of fun, made new friends and met an astronaut.
Tuesday I woke up  with a runny nose and sore throat.  Today I have the cough and drip.
I need more sleep.
Julie likes school once she gets there, but is still  pitching a fit as we try to get her there.
Right now she hates all her clothes and wants to either wear Katie's or go about in her underwear.
I want this phase to be over.
I want my cold to be over.
I want more sleep.
The good news is, the weekend is coming.

I hope you feel better soon!! This has seemed like a really bad seasonal transition this year and that hurricane coming through didn't help at all!! *hugs*

Take care of yourself. I will be at OVFF and will babysit from after the Pegasus awards till 2/3 in the AM so you and Roper can go filling together for a change. So plan on it!

I have been out of work all week with that bug - it is nasty. (I'm feeling some better today, but it has trashed my throat, so I can't talk at all without major coughing. Not useful in a prof.)

Gretchen, we're trying something new this year at OVFF for parents. We plan on keeping Kid Space open longer on Saturday night - no planned activities, just as a playroom for the kids. We've reserved the room right next door for a "Parent's Filk". Parents can step out from time to time, walk just two steps down the hall and stick their head in the door to check on their kids, then go back to the filk. Do you think this would work for you and Bill>
