Transit Watching...

jeff_duntemann and the Lovely Aunt Carol are here with two of the doggies. There is a pot roast in the oven and it is a lovely afternoon.
Uncle Jeff brought his portable telescope and has set it up in our yard so we can watch teh transit of Venus projected on a piece of foamcore while we eat on the patio.
Wow, dinner and a show.

It's mostly cloudy here, so even if I had a telescope it would be hard to see much. Luckily, I have FiOS and NASA TV to make up for it.

Peter Alway showed me how to use my binoculars to project the image of the sun onto a piece of white paper, so I watched it for a while. I invited the neighbors to look, since they won't get another chance. It was cool.

Zan and Cat said what I would say, so...yes, only insofar as that's the name we give to random events.

The more I think about it ... it is likely more positive attitude than "luck" ... I agree with Cat that luck randomly comes and goes, but I do believe that people with a more positive attitude feel…

I think that random things happen, and that some of them are good for us and some bad and we refer to these as good or bad luck.

I don't believe this randomness can be persuaded or cajoled or sensed…

I didn't really, until I met Steve. He does. And he has had a lot of luck. So, maybe there is something to it.
