Roper and I were married in our own back yard.
The ceremony was performed by Roper's brother-in-law (handy to have a minister in the family, isn't it?)
The yard was decorated with yellow and blue balloons and crape paper.
As arbors weren't in fashion then I had to make one out of pvc piping, plastic garden edging, and silk flowers.
The best man and his wife sang "By MY Side" from Godspell.
The processional was "I Swear" by All 4 One.
The reception was catered by an outfit that did back yard bar-b-ques. We had burgers, hot dogs and chicken breasts.
Roper solved the head table problem and the mingling problem by sitting down at all the tables in turn and having a sandwich.
It was the last time Roper's family was all together.
It was a good time.
I love you, Roper. Even if you did run off to a convention and leave me with the girls.
