I Have A New User Pic...

That was the lamb cake from easter.
Katie thought white frosting was dull.
I made it purple. It was a chocolate lamb cake. It was tasty.
It was pretty ugly. The girls wanted to put even more jelly beans on it.

I also made hot cross buns last weekend. For the first time.
They tasted pretty good, but the dough didn't rise very well. I didn't knead them properly as I managed to slice open the pad of my left index finger while opening the new box of wax paper.

Today we made Julie's birthday cake. It was mix cake with betty Crocker frosting, but it was realllllly tasty.
Roper should be posting pictures even as we speak.

Well, bedtime approaches.
"Night, All.

It is a Capp family tradition
To let the kids decorate the Easter cake. They turn out ugly as all get-out, with entirely too much frosting for human (adult) consumption, and the kids enjoy the heck out of it (and the adults apparently remember the custom fondly. Next to that, a purple lamb is very understated. (Robin)

Lamb cake! My mother would make one every year at Easter. She used to frost it with white frosting and shredded coconut.

In Buffalo, they also sold butter lambs.
